(no subject)
Got up at six this morning and it was raining and the sky was inky black. Would have preferred to stay in bed. Got the train. Train was freezing.
Once we arrived in Dublin we got a taxi to the hospital. The taxi driver asked us where we were from, and when we said Leitrim, he told us to look at the back window and there was a Leitrim sticker there! He and my mother then had a great conversation, with my mother saying, 'Do you know so-and-so,' and him saying, 'Oh, yes I know so-and-so.' It was quite cool.
Getting my eyes examined wasn't fun in the slightest. I had to get eyedrops, which stung, and then a light was placed ON my eyeball and then an earbud was shoved up under my eyelid. All this made the pain in my eye a lot worse, and it had been better today! I have to use eyedrops for a week - joy - and if it's no better, I have to go back on Tuesday.
After that we did a bit of shopping in Dublin, and I got a woolly purple hat with bobbles on strings hanging off it and I love it.
We got the two o'clock train home, and when we sat down we realised we were sitting beside a woman we know from home, so that was another Leitrim person we met in Dublin. Freaky.
I don't want to go to school tomorrow.
