I got to witness an almost accident this morning. It was a very "Dane Cook" moment. Getting off the freeway, we had the green light from the ramp. Some dude coming from the other direction did not see the red light stopping cross traffic and just plowed right through the intersection. He almost hit the car in front of me, then slammed on his brakes, slid in the snow, spun out of control, bounced over the median/curb, almost hit a light post, spun again, almost hit a stopped car and ended up across the median in the other lane going in the direction he just came from and the DUDE JUST DROVE OFF.
After I screamed, I kind of laughed. I am amazed that people who live in "the state of snow" still don't know how to drive in it.
This morning, I also discovered back roads to take when traffic on 494 is hell. Is it wrong that I am excited by that?
There was a fuse out in my apartment. I had to shower in the dark, I also had no power for my electrical devices. It was weird, odd, and not cool.
Couldn't sleep last night... I am sure it is due to a mixture of things, right now I have a heavy mind.
So looking forward to Thursday, as it is the start of a blow-out weekend. Definitely looking for some "me" time to compensate for the worst holiday yet.
A co-worker and I just agreed that we look forward to work now becuase they have turned the heat on. This is because we are cheap and don't turn on the heat in our apartments. :)
