Wow! What a good/awesome/relazing weekend. Now it's back to work, and we's business casual now folks!
Friday: I worked a little OT and took a nap and then went to the "Transporter 2" with Shayna. Jason Statham... YUM! The movie was .. er.. ah. to quote Shayna: "Made by 13 year olds". There were a couple interesting scenes, but most of it was over-the-top. OH! There was a scene with a Lambo... with the shifter on the steering wheel. That had Shayna and I both squirming in our chairs. My only complaint... not enough shirtless Statham!
Saturday: I worked on the apt and did a little shopping. I finally got some awesome brown pants to go with that gold camisole top I have had for AGES. I also got a brown chord jacket for a price so low it practically was stealing. All together, I had a rockin' outfit for the club. I also did 9 applications for part-time retail jobs. Yeah for jobs! OK... The CLUB... Oh my, that was fun! The bathrooms were interesting, so were the booths/seats (what was that material again?) and the dance floor could be a little (read a lot) bigger. Other than that, we had a good time and I'd go there again in a heartbeat. Shayna and I got down and dirty in the killer stobe lights, and Sarah and Julie were a riot. We were able to keep to ourselves most of the night, but in the end it got very "end of the night, last chance: who can I get all up on?" and we ended up leaving just before close. Funny story: we got seperated when leaving and had to wait around for everyone else. While doing so I met a nice man named "Jay" (also waiting for his friends) who had actually been sitting at the table next to us all night. Jay's ride took off with a girl. After about 25 mins of street-side chatting, we offered Jay a ride home (with 5 girls, he was in heaven). Anyway, we stopped over at his place for a couple beers and some laughs. He and I got to talking and he was pretty darn cool. I hope I hear from him again, he seemed open to going out with us on Thursday! The boy is from California so I have a feeling he is definitely going to uphold the three-day rule. But even if he doesn't call.. No sweat, it was a great night.
Sunday: Well, Sunday I pretty much slept all day. And then I was on the phone for about 6 hours.. And I slept some more. I got nothing done.
Monday: I got back to setting my apartment up. It's looking good and I've got some organizational dilemma's, but other than that.. it's starting to feel like home. I did need to take a break and met up with Sarah at Calhoun and walked around the lake (sucking and squeezing!). That was a nice relaxing end to a long and interesting weekend.
Last night I had a nightmare about High School... weird. Congrats to all those seniors starting their last year today (KATIE!) and those that have two more to go (HEATHER) and those just starting college (BRIAN!). Good luck this year!
