Well, it appears some force is out to kill you, by some creative, unorthodox means. Perhaps some sort of version of Death feels cheated, or perhaps you have horrible luck

[She's rather used to falling through pitfalls, right now. This drop is at least three times the normal height, so she's a bit worried during free-fall...

Whew! She was trained to handle this, luckily. Her legs hurt like a mother (she may have broken one), but she's alive, for the moment at least.]

Although you're still alive, an odd sensation is settling around the area. Nothing is attacking right now, but it just doesn't feel safe.

At least you have some time to plan and try to escape. Maybe.

[The feeling would have been paralyzing, had she had fewer brushes with death in the past. But this... It feels so tangible. She needs to retreat, to run, to do anything to get her away from this presence.
