I have only seen demons until now. I thought I had found myself in a section of the demon world.

*Metatron lowers his head. He's not stupid by a long shot, that's not how he got to be who he is. And he very clearly remembers saying something as a human that decided the path his life would take. "Father, I love and respect you. But I can't take you at your word until I've proven it myself."*

"They never mentioned being aligned with anyone."

.... *well, there's room for doubt, still. But this person doesn't seem like a malicious one at all, in any sense.* At least I know I am not in the demons' world. *Living humans that go there are usually better-prepared than this boy is, meaning this must be a more neutral place, at least as far as humans are concerned.*

The good news is, since there are a lot of angels here (and since he keeps running into them), Souji decided to look into that a bit more.
