*Of course not. He's not the target here. In fact, he was actually pretty damn nice even if they weren't expecting a Greek reaper to come for them.
Whatever spirits are following him head to join the others in Megidolaoning the crap out of Mastema. At this point, the angel barely has time to stand, much less heal himself or escape.*
Sure, he can understand why they're mad at Mastema, but the point of being dead is to not care about your past life anymore. Something else must be agitating them.
"Stop that." The errant spirits are now being reined in, so to speak.
*They do stop, hovering towards Thanatos slowly. Mastema remains on the floor for a moment, braced for another spell.
When it doesn't come, he slowly pushes himself to his knees and charges a Salvation, shaking too heavily with sheer relief to thank Thanatos just yet.*
*It takes him some time to catch his breath.* Thank you...thank you... I thought I would meet my end here... *He'll just sort of...stagger back towards where he dropped his robe and mask, feathers still askew.*
*Once completely clothed, Mastema... collapses to his knees again. That feeling of utter helplessness as blow after blow landed was familiar in the worst kind of way. He's very shaken, to say the least.
It's kind of clear that even on the anniversary of their deaths they haven't terrorized him this way. Else Mastema might seem used to this.*
*Mastema gets to his feet again, slowly, as if weighed down.* The Mall brought them here, that much is clear. But were they agitated of their own accord and unable to reach me until now, or...?
Although he does become curious at the sounds of explosions from far off.
"Hmm?"

What's that little spirit? Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
Oh, it's that week, huh? No wonder they were all worked up.
"Ah..."

"Mastema?" He would normally run over to check on him, but he doesn't want to bring these spirits within spell-flinging distance.
