It was another miserable day. It was cold, windy, and downright dreary. It wasn’t raining, nooooo, it couldn’t rain, because I like the rain and then today might not have seemed so bad if a shower had showed up. I was walking west in the evening hours. I suggest that no one try this unless there is absolutely no choice in the matter. It was about 8 o’clock and the sun was directly in front of me, I had no clue where I was going, I couldn’t see a thing. Fortunately, a cloud passed in front of the sun and for a few brief moments, I looked up, but not in enough time. I ran smack dab into a hard body of a male.
“Ufff” was the sound I made as I landed on my bottom.
“Sumimasen, let me help you up.” The male said.
‘Apparently, I didn’t run into him hard enough to knock him down,’ I thought with a grumble. ‘Wait, did he just say Sumimasen? Why would he speaking Japanese?’ I know a little bit of Japanese because I love Anime and Manga. When I was in high school, I joined a Japanese club and took a Japanese class. The class was just started my senior year, so I had actually knew next to nothing.
I place my hand in his and let him pull me to my feet. He sure did have big hands. “Don’t worry about it,” I mumbled. I wasn’t good at speaking with guys, unless I knew them, and this guy was a complete stranger. I tried to say my apology. “I should apologize, I am the one who ran into you.” I said it so soft, I was surprised that he heard me.
“No, it wasn’t your fault, it was mine. I am so sorry for it.” The words flowed easily off his tongue. I started to hate him for being so smooth, while I was scarcely audible.
I finally looked up into his face, and my breath hitched. This male was shaped like a god, and with a face to match, and somehow slightly familiar. His hair was a medium brown, kind of plain sounding, but it reminded me of chocolate. It was spiked up slightly in the front. He was muscular and chiseled, but not in a work-out-in-the-gym-at-every-possible-chance way. He looked more like he enjoyed sports. I couldn’t see his eyes, but they were a dark color. He was smiling and revealing straight, white, even teeth. He seemed a half of foot taller than me, and that is a lot since I am 5’9”. Like I said, god-like.
I now hated him even more because he probably has girls all over him, while I, because of my deep fear of the male species, have avoided guys and therefore, they have avoided me. “Are you okay?” He asked when he realized my daze.
“Yes…yes, I’m fine.” I managed out as I rubbed my backside.
“Let me take you out to dinner just to be sure.” His words flowed so easily. Resentment built up inside for that fact, but it accompanied longing and another emotion I could not name.
“I…I don’t know.” I really hoped he didn’t think I had a stuttering problem, because I didn’t, I was just really uncomfortable.
“Please, let me make it up to you for running you over.”
“That seems like a weird way to apologize.” My stuttering problem was gone thank goodness. I was also starting to feel somewhat comfortable.
“If I can’t take you out, at least give me your name.”
“Even weirder,” I said, hoping he would understand it was a reference to my previous statement. “But… It’s Taima Stottminn.”
“Taima Stottminn, that’s pretty unusual, isn’t it?”
There didn’t seem to be any traces of sarcasm in his voice. He also didn’t appear to be mocking me in any way. But I wasn’t sure; there were a lot of people that did mock me for my unusual name.

-------------------------------------------

We left the mines to go back. It was Usagi’s turn for giving me tour. “Come on, I know a great place to take you.” She was right; it was a great place. It was a spa, a wonderful spa with the works. There was a sauna, hot tub, massage tables, and an entire wall covered with all sorts of lotions, creams, and other such things. She handed me a bathing suit. “ I am sure it will fit you. Let’s get into the hot tub.” After changing, I settled in and was found she was already waiting for me. After I settled in, I noticed she was scrutinizing me, and it made me uncomfortable.
“So, how do you like it here?” She asked.
“So far, it’s amazing. I can’t see why or how my help was needed at all.”
“We’ll all find our soon.”
“You don’t even know?”
“No, I think only Setsuna knows.” She gave me an apologetic smile. “I am sure you want to go back soon.”
“Not really, I have nothing special to go back to.”
“What about a boyfriend?” I thought I saw a little bit of mischief in her eyes.
“None.” The conversation continued on in that fashion. I also had a few questions for the reining queen. She had such a sweet temperament. I had known Usagi was nice, but she was nicer than I had ever imagined.
“Let’s get you back for Ami-chan to show you around.”
Ami was really sweet and quite. She led me to, places of places, a hospital. This hospital was amazing. It was clean, tidy, and perfect.
“Besides a hospital, this palace also a great research lab.” She said. “Over here.” I followed her some more. It was full of books, microscopes, and all sorts of medical equipment.
“It was here that we found the cure to cancer and AIDs. We also have prevented many deaths, and 30 years ago, we prevented a deadly outbreak from happening.”
I was given a whole history of this place. That wasn’t by design, she originally going to tell me about the medical progress, but we got off track. We actually had a lot in common, Ami and I. We spent the rest of the time chatting. I found out than when it was one on one, Ami actually talked a lot.
“Ami, this place is great.” I said after a while.
“Thank you.”
Chibi-Usa was very excited to show me around. I asked if she wanted to be called anything else beside Chibi-Usa but she said even though she is not chibi, she still likes to be called Chibi-Usa because she had gotten use to it.
“I’ll show you the best place.” She said as she pulled me along. We came to a wonderful place. It was a ballroom of sorts. The ceiling was at least 3 stories high. I gigantic chandelier was glittering in the middle. The entire floor was polished wood and the whole place had an aura of magic about it. Anyone could imagine the magical parties that could happen here.
“This is the entertainment area. Here is where my mom and dad throw extravagant balls. It was here where I had my first kiss. I love the parties we have here.”
“It really is a beautiful place.”
“Yeah, and look at the ceiling.”
I looked up and it took my breath away. It was a picture of our solar system, but in beautiful colors like a rainbow, but even more special.
“Magical…” I let out.
“Time for my dad to show you around.”
Mamoru was very kind. His smile was heart melting. Anyone could easily see why Usagi had fallen in love with him. I didn’t have to follow him very far. He led me to the library. It doesn’t sound very impressive, but it is. To give you a clue how nice and impressive it is, imagine the library from the Disney cartoon “Beauty and the Beast.” Now take that library and make it 4 times as big. Add more books, a pretty overall framework and a surreal beauty to the place. For those who haven’t seen the movie, let’s just say this place is huge.
He gave me tour of the place. Showing me where the different sections are like History, Art, Research, Fiction, and others.
“This place is wonderful. How long did it take to put all these books in order?’
“It took a long time, and a lot of workers. I am not even sure they got everything in the right spot anyways.” We both laughed at the little joke he made.
“Come on, you only have two more of us to go through before you get to rest.”
“That’s right, but I am having a real interesting time.”
Setsuna was next. We traveled out of the sight of the others and she drew out her garnet orb, connected to the time key. “I’ll show you the gates of time.”
I was stunned speechless. This was the gate of time. These doors were secret to almost all mankind. Most people don’t even know about them, let alone see them.
“Are you sure about this? Don’t you have to a background check to see if I am worthy or something like that?” I asked.
She gave a small laugh and chuckle. “I already did a background check or something like that. Come”
I followed her in.
“You have a few questions, right?” She asked of me.
“Yes, I was told you were the only who could tell me exactly why I am here.”
“I do know, but I can’t tell you. You are here for a reason, and if you knew that reason, it might not come about.”
“I’m confused.”
“Okay, let’s get a hypothetical situation here. Say you have a vision of getting hit by a car, so you don’t do your normal routine and avoid getting hit. But the trick is that if you did get hit you wouldn’t die, and at the hospital, you were supposed to meet your true love. But you don’t. Do you see?”
“Is my time here that bad?”
“No, I was just giving you worst case scenario.”
“Thanks, Setsuna-san. Can I come to you for help?”
“Any time, here.” Setsuna pulls a key off her belt. “If I’m not available, just use the key to find me. And one more thing, Takeuchi-san gave this to me. She said she saw it in a vision and asked if it was true. I told her I didn’t know, so she didn’t add anything else to her Manga about it. But I am telling you now, it is true, and it might be vitally important.” She handed me a folded piece of paper. When I opened it, it was a Takeuchi’s drawing of Usagi and Mamoru on the moon with each of the inner senshi pair up with the generals. Minako was with Kunzite. Rei was with Jaedite. Ami was with Zoicite. And Makoto was with Nephlite. I looked up to find I was back in the palace with Setsuna gone and the rest of the group right in front of me. I hid the paper. I wouldn’t tell them of it yet, besides it was time for my tour with Makoto.
