Waking Up From a Dream

[Ami can be found standing outside the library, looking rather disheveled and lost. She keeps looking up at the building and turning away, as if fighting some terrible internal struggle.]

"What is the use? I have searched and come up short.. There is nothing.. Nothing!"

[Jumping as she was startled, Ami clutches a hand over her chest as she loses her breath for a moment.]

"Ah-! Oh! M-Miss Ilsa! phew You startled me there!"

[Regaining her composure, she turns to face her friend.]

"I am a terrible liar so I will not bother to in covering for myself. I am becoming more and more frustrated with the "dead ends" and inconclusive trails of information here. I am finding no answers, no matter how deep I tread.

sigh I am uncertain of where to go from here. I feel so useless."

So you have your notes with you now? Have you spoken to Nina, yet?

"Ah.. Mmm.. Unfortunately, I do not have them with me."

[Ami begins to nervously clutch her right arm by the elbow.]

"No. I have not been able to find an appropriate time or location to meet with Nina. Though I am unsure of how much further that will allow me to make progress. I am clasping at straws to try and hold on to hope, but I suppose that is one of the greatest trials of this town."

[ Ilsa pats her shoulder. ]

It's all right hon, I think she's on duty at the reference desk this afternoon. What problems are you running into?

"Everything and anything. I cannot find any solid connections. It is as if going down a road that just dead ends or drops off into a ravine.

The people in charge here, the names that have been revealed, they have done very well to try and hide their pasts or any and all information about themselves. I must admit, my detective work has never come up so short."

Considering they control what we can get from them in print, not surprising. Most of what we have is things let slip at one time or another.

Have you met Calleo Crowe, yet?

"Honto?! Ah.. Ano.. I mean to say, really? Where might I be able to find this man? Is he.. Umm.. Approachable? I-I mean.. How to say.. Is he some one that I can speak with and not have to fear for my well being?"

Calleo is a good kid, nothing wo worry about there. He's assigned to 846 Goldberg, when he's not at his beau's place.

"Ah- Thank you, Miss Ilsa! But.. What do you mean by "beau"? I am unfortunately not familiar with this word."

[Ami tilted her head to the side, giving Ilsa a curious look in question.]

"Ah, yes! Then I must speak with this Mister Crowe right away! Thank you so much for your help, Miss Ilsa. I will be sure to get back in touch with you once I am done speaking with him.

Is there a place where I may be able to find him or is it best for me to simply reach out and contact him via the telephone network?"

Telephone might be best, so you can arrange to meet at the library or somewhere in town.
