[Ami had the tendency to lose track of contacting others, which was a rather big slight on her part considering that being social would be her greatest asset in this new town. Considering his general dislike for the post office, he at least felt he should stop and issue the general warning.]

[Ami's shoulders shake for a moment as she turns about to see just whom addressed her. Letting out a soft sigh of relief, she nodded her head and turned back to look at the building.]

"Sir.. Am I right to assume that the rumors I have heard about this place.."

[She seems to be fighting with herself in finishing her query.]

"Are.. Are the rumors true?"

[Ami lowers her head once more, holding both of her hands close to her heart. Her shoulders arch as her arms seem to shake nervously.]

"A.. A price, you say?

This does not seem to be the kind of establishment which takes money for compensation."

[She turns to look back at the stranger, shooting him a look which quite literally screams, "Please tell me I am wrong for this assumption".]

Sorry, but you're right. It doesn't take money. It takes other things. Memories, body parts, other trade-ins, for things you want back from your own world.

[An eye for an eye. Ami had thought it strange what Miss Ilsa had said, thinking it nothing more than a comparison. Now Ami knew what she truly meant..

"An eye for an eye. That's how the Post Office conducts business."

Shivering and trembling like never before, Ami clenched her fists together before taking half a step toward the Post Office doors.]

"If.. If you knew that your sacrifice could.. Could save lives.. What would you give to help others, Sir..?"
