Back in September I was browsing the local real estate listings just for fun and I stumbled upon a cute little house in a nice nearby town. Now, I don't want to go into a lot of boring detail of what happened, but basically that spurred me to talk to my parents, who said I should call a realtor we know, and I officially began house hunting early in October. I looked at a number of houses, but I kept coming back to where I started and the end result is that the cute little house? Is now mine. Officially mine as of around 11:00 this morning. I begin moving in tomorrow.
And since the house is likely going to be in disarray and semi-furnished for quite a long time, I went through today while it was empty and took a bunch of pictures, so now I will share them with you. After I've moved in I'll probably take more pictures, but for now these will have to do.
The House!!!
The Dining Room:
The Living Room:
The Office. The first picture is the little hallway between the living room and the office, off of which is a small half bath with the cutest itty bitty sink ever.
The Kitchen:
The Basement. In the unfinished part you can see the awesome soapstone sink by the area for the washer and dryer, and past that where you see a wooden wall that's actually the side of a built-in cedar closet. The other part of the basement is finished, and that's what I plan to use as my TV room.
The entryway with the front door, and the stairs:
My Bedroom:
The Guest Bedroom:
I think this picture taken from the guest bedroom into the other bedroom gives a good idea of what the upstairs of the house is like.
The Garages (crucial for me):
The backyard (which is very shaded, so I'm going to need to look into good ground covers for the shade), and the view out the front door:
