We are back from a lovely holiday in Dinan, Brittany. Which is a
mediaeval walled town on a hill. We went there with Ravenlas and
Ellenscult, Dave and Sue and their daughter who are all re-enactors of
one stripe or another.
When we got back home Clotilde made a worrying discovery in the
bathroom. There were about half a dozen 14 dead wasps on the floor and
in the bath. There was nothing to do about that there and then so we
swept them up into a toy bucket and hoped that maybe they had been
attracted to some smell in the bathroom.
Yesterday morning when I got up there was one live wasp in the
bathroom which made for a more exciting shower experience than I am
used to.
This morning when I got up there were no wasps in the bathroom but I
could see one crawling on the window with something in her jaws and
one or two other wasps zoomed past the window while I was watching. I
had a look around the backgarden when I got out and could see even
more flying around though I am not sure where exactly they are
going. I know that there is a loose brick near the bathroom window but
they looked more like they were flying to somewhere on the top of the
house and I think that they might be flying into the loft. But I do
not fancy climbing into the loft to see as I have visions of being
surprised by some wasps and falling through the ceiling into the bath.
