Ferret Tales!
I've had my ferrets for more than 2 years now but I guess I never talk about them. They're really cute. I have one male ferret named Hal and a female one named Wanda. Both named after my brother's coworkers.
Hal has white fur all over and a pink nose while Wanda is brown and more ferrety-looking although she has a two-tone nose that is brown and pink.
For some inexplicable reason, only Hal grows in a winter coat and puts on more weight when it gets cold. Wanda seems to stay the same year-round.
Anyway, ferrets like tunnels and tubes so I gave them a poster tube recently. Now I thought both of them could fit in it, but when Hal has his winter coat (which is much fluffier than his regular coat), I'm not so sure. Last night he was going halfway in, but then he'd stop and back out of it again. It probably didn't help that Wanda would pounce on him whenever he was halfway in though. I may have to buy a wider tube. Not that I don't already have tubes for them to play in, but ferrets have oil on their fur that sometimes rubs off and makes things stinky over time, so we have to either clean or throw stuff out every so often.
It was pretty funny to see Hal halfway into the tube with his butt sticking out and Wanda jumping on him though.
