To restate the subject: I have gotten quite good at procrastinating.
Let us make a list of my recent procrastinanigans:
1) Applying for a passport in a timely fashion to be able to cross the border into Canada for my friend's bachelor party this coming weekend?
FAIL. Luckily, getting a birth certificate is a much faster process.
2) Mailing in two mail-in rebates for the new digital camera I bought and a printer that would have been free if I had bothered to mail in that rebate as well?
FAIL. On both counts, despite having 30 days to mail them.
3) Installing the digital camera drivers on a computer so I could offload them and post cute pictures of my ferrets?
FAIL. Still haven't done that.
4) E-mailing some friends to keep in touch with them?
FAIL. Not much else to say about that.
5) Making travel arrangements to go to the aforementioned bachelor boy's wedding in less than 3 weeks?
FAIL. I'm going to buy some plane tickets and reserve a room either tonight or tomorrow night though.
6) Ordering a MacBook or other device with which to record myself and others playing musical instruments in an aurally pleasing fashion?
FAIL. I *had* been waiting for my tax refund, but I got that a couple weeks ago. Even the stimulus check.
7) Making travel arrangements for other trips I have planned this summer?
FAIL. My nominal excuse is that I'm going to do that after I get my other travel arrangements taken care of, but ha, that is just an excuse!
8) Writing about the events that were alluded to in that LJ meme I wrote last week?
FAIL. I said I was going to write about them the next day and it's been more than a week now. Of course, writing is probably not something that should feel forced, but still, I feel bad for not having written about them (although still not in a writing mood).
9) Doing my laundry?
FAIL. Hopefully I will do it tonight before my laundry basket overflows.
I bet I could find more to have procrastinated about, but I don't really feel up to the effort of trying right now. Maybe I'm just lazy. I blame the heat (as I sit in my air-conditioned office).
