Vacation is winding down...
School is only two weeks away. I'm actually OK with that because the new studio they built for my class is amazing! I can hardly wait for the students to check it out. They will be floored.
I shot a 101 today for 18. I actually finished 18, which is an accomplishment. Straighten those arms, huh? It worked very well today. I parred three holes.
Then, I came home and the district calendar was in the mail. They had a contest where students wrote in letters describing teachers that inspired them. One of my film students, Erika, wrote a shining endorsement for me, and I was lucky enough to be chosen for the calendar (with her for writing the letter). It's November too, which is my birthday month. Though the job doesn't pay tons of cash, having someone say good things about how you've helped them gain direction is about the greatest paycheck one could ever receive...
