Mom served up breakfast with no hog...

The bunny is digging in the corner of his cage INCESSANTLY today. Apparently, today is the magical day of escape, in his little bunny mind. It's driving me a bit nuts, I must say.

Went to see Tom Wilson at the Funny Farm last night. Who the hell is Tom Wilson? Well, he's the guy who played BIFF in the Back to the Future trilogy. He kinda played that up and then backed it off as though it isn't "who he is"--he was REALLY funny, though. Funniest comic I've seen there, yet.

I'm going to the new house here in about 30 minutes. Today is cleaning day. They finished up all the drywall inside the house, so now you have to wipe everything clean before priming begins. For those who don't know, I'm kinduva a paint guru. I worked at Sears in the paint department for five years before I started at Harding High. Come to think of it, I've been a teacher quite a bit longer than I was a paint guy now. Can't believe how time flies. Anyhow, our target to move in is still March, although April seems like more of a realistic time table. There's just so much trim and shit to do, still. The stairs inside are sweet. They spiral into the basement, and that gives me a half a stalk, I must say (thank you Ed Grimley).

I think I might actually try and get materials to make new sets for our TV show at school. I talked to Reuters this week, and they said if we got a satellite dish, they'd hook us up with free video feeds for use at the school. That would make our show so much better. The kids would be pretty pumped. Now, all I have to do is come up with 6 grand. That's a lot of fundraisin'.

Finally, Erin is getting laser surgery on her legs tomorrow to repair some veins that have collapsed (from being on her feet 14 hours a day...not from me punching her repeatedly in the legs, contrary to popular belief). I'm a bit nervous, and so is she. She's never had anesthetic (sp?) before. I think she'll be fine. It's outpatient surgery, and the doctor said she'll be able to walk around like normal immediately. I just worry. It's my nature.
