Special sauce.

The KKC shows this weekend were QUITE fulfilling. We made back the money we borrowed for the CD in the first weekend of its release, so you can't ask for much more than that. Holy shit...that AUTOSAVED DRAFT thing just popped up in the corner and freaked me the fuck out.

Anyhow, people's reactions to the CD have been very positive. Besides the god damned rigamoroll (yes, I'm 49 years old, apparently) with the movie samples in Indiana/CDR thing, everything else is better than could ever be expected. I should really start piecing together a press kit, but after starting a new trimester today, doing dishes, organizing our pantry and helping Roadking pick out paint for his new house, I'm fucking beat.

Our bunny kicks ass. He still doesn't like when you pick him up, though. Fuck him. I'll toss him into a brick.

New stuff you ask? Yes. Here's the booty I've collected in the past week or so:
Torture Killer - "Swarm!" (feat. chris barnes...it's way better than the last SFU album)
Grave - "Youll Never See/...and Here I Die" split (sweet)
Mastodon - "Call of the Mastodon" (not bad, but I already have most of this...Relapse is just cashing in here)
Himsa - "Hail Horror"
Elton John - "Madman Across the Water" (remastered...the final Elton disc I needed. I have over 40 EJ discs now)
Aborted - "The Purity of Perversion", "Engineering the Dead" and "The Haematopbic EP" (three discs full of death-inspired goodness)
Elvis Costello - "My Flame Burns Blue" (live and jazz like...I hate the version of WATCHING THE DETECTIVES on this disc)
Hitchcock - TV SERIES DVD set, season one
VIVA LA BAM - Seasons 4 and 5
Ringworm's new disc (haven't listened to it yet)

Yeah. I bought other shit too, but it's out on the dining room table, and I don't feel like going and seeing what else is there. But I'm buying up some shit, no doubt. I got away from the media frenzy for a while, but now I'm back.

I fucking hate seeing Hannah Teter, or whatever the hell her name is and that other girl, and the tomato kid. Don't get me wrong, I was very happy to see them win medals. GO USA! But damnit. Do they REALLY have to become 15 second celebrities. Just let 'em go. Especially the Arian snowboarder. Teter is cute, so everyone wants to read about her. But the ESPN magazine that just came out with her making all of these faces and shit in one of those mall photo booths...really? Do we need that? Hecks no. I'm not amused. Then she plugs her boyfriend's indie rock band. Look girl. Talk about the Olympics. Your boy's band ain't got no medals and ain't got no record deal.

Speaking of which, neither do we. I should really be doing that now.

Prankster's grandpa died a few days ago. He doesn't seem to care, but that's what he ALWAYS does. Just ignores his emotions. Eh. That works for some people.

I don't feel like I'm taking a class right now. I TOTALLY wish I hadn't signed up for any, because I have no motivation to go or do anything. I hope I get a 'C'. Shitface!

I angered one of my new coworkers at the bar a couple of weeks ago by making fun of RENT. I started signing "525,600 rimjobs"--she wasn't impressed. I noticed the big gold cross hanging from her neck as she turned and left. Oh well. Apparently Jesus doesn't like jokes about gay sex. Who knew?
