I don't usually make New Year's resolutions ("be a better person" and "take better care of myself" are constants and nonspecific), but setting some Simming goals sounds good.
Goals for 2011
1. Finish the Apocalypse before the end of the year. I was hoping to have it done by my three-year Apocaversary on March 7th but that is so not happening. Given how busy I am/tired I get, I think it would be fair to expect it done by 2012 if I actually play on occasion.
2. Write Fiona's Story. I've had a half-written draft of this sitting around for over a year. I will be working on either this or my next double Apoc update for Simspiration's writing month in February.
3. Be more active on Boolprop. My comments have suffered in the past year and I am a very sorry excuse for a mod right now. :P
4. Be more active on LiveJournal. Which has been better than Boolprop, but not by a lot.
5. Be in the habit of playing even if it's not in Sierra Plains. I may start an OWBC for when the Apocalypse tires me, like it did over the summer.
I think this is reasonable. I definitely don't want to set myself up for failure and feel bad about it, and all of this is pretty doable considering what my year is going to look like. (Student teaching yay!)
My more immediate plans: map out Simspiration's writing event, complete that half-written Apoc recap I started in the summer, and get a joint project with Di out ASAP. We intended it for Christmas but neither of us had time to do a lot of work on it, so we're just going to do our best and hope you guys like it when it's done. :)
Happy 2011, everyone! And happy birthday to
