Thankfully taking a turn for the better...

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

As much as yesterday was the most unique Thanksgiving day I've ever had, I truly enjoyed myself. I woke up and cleaned my room for four hours straight like a crazy woman. It really had begun to look like the inside of my room threw up on itself. I don't know why, but I certainly feel 100% better when my room is clean, in order, and not suffocating me. Is that weird?

As for the actual day, it began around 1 o'clock with Amanda picking me up to drive me to my doctor's office off Jefferson to pick up my car. Yeah, I had a CT Scan done on Wednesday morning (they're still trying to figure out what the Hell is wrong) and had an awesome allergic reaction to the dye the put into the IV. Fabulous. So...they pumped me full of Benadryl and knocked me out on my ass. They certainly wouldn't let me drive my car, so they had to call Casey (wake her up, no less) and have her come pick me up and take me home. Apparently it took her over an hour to get there...I thought it was 15 minutes...I suppose I passed out on a chair in the office somewhere. Anyways, once I got home, I slept from 10AM until 5:15PM...yeah...that stuff knocks me out cold.

Anyways, that's why we had to pick up the car. Then we headed over to Amanda's to party with her mom for Thanksgiving. Her mom cooked an AMAZING meal - I wish I could have eaten it! Don't worry...I had tuna and chicken broth. It was nice. But, we did all split a huge bottle of red wine and got boozy...it was fun. For some reason I was incredibly productive while I was there and finished most of my homework for next week. YESSSSS.

We all went around and said what we were thankful for...I've never done that before. It was nice, though. Amanda's mom said some great things...I'm really glad she's in town. Sort of like a second mother to me these days. Yay Tyrone :-)

Went home last night, watched "When Harry Met Sally" for the first time with Casey. I loved it...so cute :-) Went to bed and now I'm up due to a lovely morning phone call and will soon be picking up a ticket for the game and Elizabeth from the airport.

Geaux Tigers :-)

Side note: saw the movie RENT a couple of nights ago and LOVED it!

Second side note: It's amazing what a little time off, a little sleep, a good talk and not being in the SOM all day long will do for you. I almost feel like a new person.

Here's to living my "second life".

Adios, everyone.
