Ok, I'm not sure I like Kaneko Nobuaki all that much. He plays too many "bad" roles because his face is of that look, and in Bartender, it's fast getting on my nerves. No, it doesn't mean he's running away, Mr. I-am-not-able-to-stand-up-straight-and-so-I-have-to-look-at-you-with-a-stupid-downward-tilt-of-my-head. It means you're not worth enough for him to want to play stupid games with you. Also, I hate how the stupid tottering grandfather keeps pitting them against each other. Who gives a shit if he wants the "Divine Drink". If you really believed in Kuzuhara as a Bartender, you would have already placed him at your bar in the damn hotel.
Doesn't that mean that Kuzuhara is stupid enough to blindly follow along, and not realise that he's not good enough that's why he hasn't been promoted? SIGH. I like that Aiba backed out, and I haven't watched it yet, but I figure he's going to turn around and compete with him. It was good for him to put his foot down about the stupid mind-games, his life and his art isn't for you to trifle around with because you're so old you HAVE no other hobby. TSK. I wish the writers would have written it in that Aiba walked away after delivering a killer line like, "Running away? There's nothing daunting enough to run away from, and nothing worth staying for."
Getting caught up in the angst that is my life. LOL
