(no subject)
well i have my computer semi-operational. just need the speakers to work.... then i could play with this site: www.pandora.com you HAVE to check it out. you type in a song or artist and it will play virtually every song related to that "mood" you are in. really helps you find some rare songs. it is a new love.
speaking of love, valentine's day is this next week. i have a foreign non-believer-of-valentine's-day fiancee, so i do not expect anything, but i want you to know that I AM OK WITH THIS. maybe in the years past i would have never been ok with no mushy crap. i know he is my valentine in the realistic sense, and that is what i am thankful for. plus, i think of past valentine's on valentine's day, and i am glad i have a new way to view this strange holiday. it really is strange.
speaking of strange - and LOVELY - . i am very addicted to these winter olympics. i thought the opening ceremonies were fantastic. the opera at the end even gave me the chills - and i am very far away in my little apartment in wisconsin. amazing. go USA!
speaking of USA, i still would like to say that bush is crap and he spews crap out of his mouth every time he speaks. it literally grosses me out when i listen to his speeches - like when i landed at chicago this last time and watched a dude puke ALLL OVER the poor girl next to him -- i feel like that girl.
sorry to break the trend, but i dont' have anything to say about girls.
the other things new in my life:
- passing the first part towards getting my insurance license (whoop-ed-dee-doo) it was a crazy stupid test.
- we had a townhall meeting at work this week - it sounds like there may even be a potential to work for AIG in the middle east someday! crazy
- we used up every open washing machine at the laundromat today. i think we had about 8 loads washed there and i still have 3 more loads to wash here at the apt!
- i like the snow more than i like the rain
- snow makes my fiancee cranky
- no further wedding plans yet
