Ah all settled in the new apartment. Its cozy and nice :-) I thought we would be alittle more cramped, but its the perfect space. We are waiting on a couch thats coming from home on Thursday, so I'm sure that will cramp things up alittle but its a small couch, so we will see! lotssss has happened wince my last update!
Went to Marblehead to hang with Allie a few weeks ago, we went to the yacht club and my life is complete haha, it was a warm day so we hung by the pool, read magazines and gossiped, and went swimming. We also pigged out on ice cream and slushies :-) Came back to Bostn after that and did a bunch of packing, Dan and I packed as much as we could so we didnt have to pack much after our trip. It was very helpful!
Went to DC from the 20th-27th and it was awesome! Our hotel was less than a mile walk from the metro station, which came in very handy because we saved money on a rental car. We went to as many free museums as we could.. the air and space museum, hirshhorn museum of art and sculpture, museum of natural history, museum of american history, national art museum, national portrait gallery, national archives, memorials and monuments (washington, iwo jima, jefferson, lincoln, FDR, vietnam, korean), the white house and the capital.. phew it was a busy busy week but awesome, just what we needed. The weather was very warm and humid, I guess while we were down there we hit unseasonably warm weather (high 80s all week) because i guess normally at the end of august its low 80s, high 70s, so we were sweaty, but at least we were able to stay in the air conditioned museums all day and our hotel was air conditioned! I think Dan really enjoyed himself because he had his new camera and took about 700 pictures. It was fun because I have been to DC before but Dan hadnt, so it was an all new experience. A week was the perfect amount of time too, we were able to see everything we wanted and after 7 days we were ready to come home :-) best vacation in a very long time :-)
Blink 182, Weezer and TBS concert was soon after we got back from our trip. It was in Hartford, CT so Shaun and I made the hour and a half trek down there, which wasnt that bad until we got to the exit, where there was alittle traffic. It was supposed to rain all day, so we were dressed in our worst, expecting the worst. Not to mention we had lawn seats, so we expected wet slippery mud as well. TBS was good, we just saw them back in June. Weezer was awesome, I havent really listened to them since Zach and I were dating, so it was kinda weird at first but still great. Blink was awesome as well, they started of alittle emo because DJ AM had just died the day before, so we were kinda like meh but then they played some old stuff and it was great. Shaun kept starting a pit right in front of us and it was quite amusing. We met up with this guy Shaun works with, Jesse, and his brother, they were cool. We kept trying to meet up with Matt and his CT friends but that never worked, too many people. Afterwards, traffic getting out was a good 45 minutes just to get out of the parking lot, but not bad back to Boston. And go figure, it didnt rain one drop! haha
31st was move out day from our place, lots of other people moving out as well. it only took us alittle less than 2 hours to get everything out with the help of mine and Dan's dad. We were lucky and able to move in on the 31st as well, it was a HUGE help! however, the people in the place before us took soooooooo long to move out, it was alittle obnoxious. We were out of our place by 330 and we didnt get into this place until after 9.. yea.. they also didnt clean the place and had been moving out before we were out of our old place. The place was a disaster but we didnt care, we were in and it saved us a trip back to Lowell. So, the next day, the 1st, cleaners were supposed to come in and vacuum and wash walls and whatnot.. 1st turned into the 2nd.. 2nd into 3rd.. 3rd into 4th... they didnt come until sometime in the afternoon on the 4th, which was very annoying because we were unable to unpack or do anything until they came. But! now we are all settled and ah so nice.. just waiting on that couch.
This past weekend didnt do anything except unpack and organize things and relax, it was very nice. Shaun came down on Sunday to check out the place and play some Rockband, our first guest :o) doesn't surprise me that it was Shaun haha
I'm dreading classes starting tomorrow because its going to be an insane semester.. very crazy and hard to believe that I'm gonna be a "5th yearer," its like, when you're a freshman it seems so far away and its like they are soo much older than you, but now thats me.. very very weird.. 2 more semesters of class.. one step at a time haha 5 classes, 2 labs and a recitation to tackle this semester, lets see if I survive
