(no subject)
So I got a letter in the mail on Monday that says that information was revealed in my security check that makes me "unsuitable" for the job I had lined up. no explanation. Oh they did say there is no appeal. back to square one. between Monday night and Tuesday morning I applied for about 12 jobs with different think tanks in D.C. I haven't heard back from anyone yet.
This week also kind of sucks because I'm sick and living in Rochester without access to a car. the only time I have left the house since Sunday has been to go to my grandmother's apartment. I feel like there should be a neon light over my head flashing "pathetic". the past few days my routine has consisted of waking up early feeling ill, trudging downstairs to the couch, watching 4 episodes of the Gillmore Girls season 5 on DVD, and drinking 3-5 cups of tea. probably shouldn't have shared that.
Fortunately, next week is going to be awesome. and the week after that. and the week after that. and the week after that! we're hitting the open road. from the Las Vegas strip to the Grand Tetons. from the beach in Rosarito, Mexico to SafeCo field with the Seattle Mariners.
