A Good Weekend

So this weekend was pretty awesome. Friday was Martyr's Day so we had no class. I went with my suitemate to get my haircut. It was less traumatizing than I had anticipated. Then I had a fake bagel at a cafe nearby where an American man (reporter from Baghdad) with an ipod asked us where he could buy a pair of Levi's. My suitemate told him that you can't find Levi's in Lebanon- they don't sell them because it's a Jewish company. Drama. Then at night I had dinner downtown to celebrate my friend Abood's 20th birthday. I took individual pictures of everyone making a funny face. he he. I'll have to steal those from Abood's camera and post them. Then we found out that there was a bomb in Jounieh at a church and surrounding sooqs (bazaar). It's hard to look at the pictures because I have walked through that area and remember that church distinctly. There was a wedding there the day I went. Yesterday was fairly uneventful, but today was "Outdoors." Picture Goodness Day with bands playing all day. Two of my friends sang, which was really awesome and the band that I liked from the AUB rock concert played again tonight. I also got to talk to my sister on the phone (hi Sus!!!) She made my mom breakfast for Mother's Day and then taped a picture of me to a chair in the kitchen so that my mom could see me on Mother's Day. I know, she's adorable.
