Somehow within the past few days I've managed to crank out three large(ish) paintings for submission to an art show in conjunction with SxSW Interactive in Austin. I'm not sure how I managed to squeeze that in, get those paintings finished all the while working the nine-to-fiver and chairing an art show set for the end of this month. Not to mention, prepping works for hanging in Barnaby's in May. I keep thinking that at any moment my brain is going to fry like a motherboard and all of my systems will crash. But surprisingly, I've kept to a schedule really well, and the stress is nowhere near what I've been anticipating.
As of about 5:30 this evening, I completed and sent off my submission to
Stagira Studios and I'm feeling extremely good about it. I decided to make large reproductions of three works from my, "
Quantum Mechanics & Human Emotional Response" series. I feel like they make a good fit for this show. Like bacon and pancake syrup.
You can view the individual paintings on my
flickr.
If I get accepted, my next ball of stress will be getting these babies to Austin in time for the show in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed!
