I forgot to mention that I had a small piece showcased on a new website: Indie Ink. A little blurb about it: II is NOT about: getting linked, getting traffic, comments, popularity, who is posted, how many times a person is posted or anything else that sucks. II is and will always be a corner of the internets where we can get away from all the bullshit and fluff and write or shoot or draw [etc] our asses off without worrying about popularity or who links to whom or gets more comments. II is for writers and artists who don’t just write about one thing; they are or want to be independent of categorization. They don’t just write about parenting or food, they don’t just write poetry, a photographer can also write, etc. Too often we’re lumped into a group in which we may not totally belong. That’s all II is. It’s independent of all of that.
It's a wonderful site for inventive inspiration, as well as a great tool to jump-start you into creative writing, or photographing. Also? The woman who started it all, Stacy, is quite awesome and has a wicked sense of humor. So hey! If you're into writing or taking pictures or making pretty things to share with the world, you should totally submit to Indie Ink. Help Stacy get this wonderful collective off the ground!
