(no subject)
soooo last night kicked ass. it was so much fun! ok first it started off i called stacey like 2938573985 times and she didn't answer so i said ok never mind. and kristen decided she would stop running down the street and hang out with me. we went to tippecanoes and i gotta nat king cole record for 2 dolla and a 1930's cigarette holder for 10 bucks. SWEET!
then kris called miguel and he came down to taco loco and hung out with us. They usually play in laguna on the corner on weekends but they decided to go to Hunington and invited us with them. so we went back to miguel's, scotty came over and we loaded the standup bass and guitar into the car (microbus haha) and we headed up to Hunington for the night.
Once we got there kris and i ran to jamba juice and a bathroom (i know you wanted to know that). they called us and we met them on a corner by a bunch of bars. man the crowd loved it. they jamed on some stray cats, johnny cash and random rockabilly and psychobilly. Outta know where kristen and i decided we would dance. so we were doin our little i-dont-know-how-to-swing-dance-dance and it made everything 25 times better. people loved it cuz it was something to watch and listen to. besides the fact we hadda ball! :) When Miguel wanted a break he had me hold the bass then had me play it at one point. i was like yea yer funny. butttt i ended up doing when he just kept telling me to and wouldnt take no and then showed me. it was so hard! i was like uh my fingers are tired... "NO keep playing!" shrinks : "ok sorry master" hahaha jsut kidding. but it was fun. all i had to do was pluck 2 strings. lol.
Then some drunk guy puked on our corner. lame. so it was 10, time to leave any ways, and we packed up and started heading back to the car when some guy stopped us and asked them if they had to leave. so we stopped and they played a couple more and we kinda danced cuz we were worn out. that guy looked at his girl thing and was like "these guys rock they play rockabilly and these gals dance and smoke long cigarettes" it just made me laugh.
I'll have pictures up in a little bit when Kristen sends them, the camera died it made me sad. blah. anyways, i've been doind really well over all. a car would make it easier. but theres always something we want now isn't there?
