I think that's probably true. Jack would do what he's supposed to do, while Sawyer tends to defy conventions.

Poor Sawyer, he's been deprived of so much, while things have always come easily (and I mean that in the sense of material things) to Jack. I think Sawyer's had to decide what he wants so he can take it for himself. It's made him what he is, for good or for bad.
I'm so glad you liked the house-as-character! That's one of the things I'm enjoying the most. And it makes me giggle that Jack has a difficult relationship with the house, and kinda thinks it's out to get him. Silly Jack. ;)
