The positive square root of four is dancing.

Today was a brilliant day: it was warm and sunny and I wore my sky blue shirt and yellow flower skirt and my fake birks. Logic was unusually interesting: we learned about paraconsistent logic, in which statements are not always either true or false, owing to such sentences as "The current king of France is bald" and "The positive square root of four is dancing." The latter phrase pleased me so much I gave it to Kate, who is struggling through her Calc II exam, and she liked it so much she gave me a little kiss and danced up the stairs.
I got comics from Robin E., which delighted me, although they included a drawing by Katie Skelly which made me a little bit sad. Nina's still not talking to me, and once again I find myself with those familiar words: "You're my friend and I love you, and if you ever feel like being my friend back, you know where I live." (That's pretty much an open invitation to everyone I've ever known, seeing as I tend to lose friends like umbrellas.) In the meantime I just love in silence and trust that love is a positive emotion even when it hurts.

I'm super excited for this weekend, which will include radio, the newest play by the author of Androgeny, 24 hour comics at Modern Myths, and the March for Women's Lives in D.C.
