washington square park
I'm sitting here at what remains of washington square park... its very sad and depressing... where there use to be a fountain and concrete..there is now a lot of dirt...where there will soon be grass in order to make it "more perfect" and "more parklike"... closed till 2009. so no park over the summer.. and when it returns it won't be the same :(
i knew what they were planning, but I didn't realize it started yet... and then I walked there, and there it was... GONE.
I know it sounds insensitive, but I'm more sad about the construction going on at Washington Square Park, than about 9/11.
