i just read the email that Nancy gal sends of show listings in boston for the coming week, and i gotta say..

FUCK YOU BOSTON.

how many shitty bands does one city need before someone gets a fucking clue. furthermore - how many shows does Darkbuster need to play in one week before they realize that only their friends give a fuck about them.

Shitty bands + shitty fans and people = cool people drop out= DEAD SCENE.

Hence why there hasn't been a punk scene here since the late 90's.

Cal, that's not always the case. I'm not a punk anymore but, I still hang out with punks.

To be perfectly honest it was the shitty kids from the suburbs, NH, VT and ME that came here for shows, and destroyed OUR venues because they thought it was "the punk thing to do". They started fights with OUR people because they wanted to look "tough". Don't blame Boston, blame those lil shithedas that ruined it for everyone when they were punks and then went off to college and became hipsters.

and because it's easier to get laid dressing as a hipster. Hipsterism forms out of a punk rocker's desire to be more socially acceptable, and more open to different kinds of girls and cliques. Same goes for hardcore kids, but hipsters and hardcore go hand in hand these days....and it takes more balls to wear a studded leather than to wear a fucking "Youth of Today" hoodie.
