So I haven't written in ages, and furthermore, un-unannounce (is that right?) my LJ life. I'm pretty bored, and the library computers don't have any sound on them. That blows childrens faces off. Yesterday in INIT (Information to Introduction of Technology) , my prof asked me if I was a loner. Straight up. I was there doing my work, because they don't care if you don't do your work. They're still getting paid regardless. So I isolated myself from the class, plugged in my tunes, and started working. He came up to me and tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I was a loner.... I couldn't believe he did that. Considering being the only girl, I am sorta singled out. But there are many others in the program that I do interact with. John mostly. He's a good guy. I take notes for him if he's away, and he does the same for me. We're in all groups together, and it's sweet. I also talk with this Mike guy, who is also in one of my groups. I don't talk with him much, but he reminds me sooooo much of Iain. Just by looking at him. It's weird. It really is. Then there's Glenn. He's here living at residence. He's pretty cool. He talks to me a lot. Whenever he comes online he always strikes up a conversation.
So, I finally fell into the whole Cell Phone network thingy that many others have been. I know of some who don't have one, and I never had seen the point of having one. Now that I'm in school again, on campus and such, it's good to use to keep in touch with others. Sam and I talk regularly, and it's funny. I mean, I paid the full price for the phone, $79.99. Which isn't a bad deal at all. That included the $50 activation fee which was nice. They tried selling me the new flip chocolate phone. but I'm not paying $300+ for that. So I got something basic. It has a camera, and the picture quality is very nice. Out of that $50 activation.... $20 went to unlimited text messaging for a month. And when that runs out, I just have to throw another $20 on my phone and buy the same add-on again. $20 monthly is nothing. I don't even use the thing to call people. I strictly text. The odd time I'll call someone, but I rarely have the need to. I went ape shit when I got it though, I threw about $50 extra onto it, and I bought a few games + ringtones. Which is nice. The long bus rides home from here are terrible, and the games distract me from everyone else on the bus.
My INIT teacher today, asked the class if we had any legit legal software on our computers at home...... not one person put up their hand. I thought that was tremendous.
For my CSYS class, we have to do some sort of group presentation on a piece of technology. We thought about it and we're going to try and "sell" the
Microsoft Surface to the class. I don't know if you know about it, but it's a pretty sweet piece. It's literally a desktop computer. It looks like a desk and you can do sooo many things with it. I know when these babies come down in price I'm going to get right on that and get myself one.
I don't really want to go to my last class today, which unfortunately, is CSYS. I mean it's a great class, but it just drags on and on and on. You feel like you'll never be able to get out of there. After class I'm meeting up with Mike and John to work on our project thingy.
I legally acquired 2 seasons of two and a half men. I'm working on getting 3 and 4 right now. I think it's an awesome show, and I don't even know what posessed me to get it....
I also got Clerks the Animated Series, which I had before. But it just wouldn't work in my Xbox so I had to re-acquire it.
I love my choice of words.
Anyways, I should really be heading out to my CSYS class. Figures, it's the room right next to my first class. Gotta walk my ass back to that building. Lataz.
PS, ADAM. Hangouts soon d00000d.
