Florida update

Oh goodness, what a day St. Pats hath been!  Lets start you off with the scenario: woke slowly to birds and cicadids, watched some old school Sabrina the teenage witch, then headed off for the bus stop to go to the beach.  Little did I know that I did two things wrong - waited at the wrong stop and went the wrong way.  So I waited for thirty extra minutes for a bus that was on time (but thinking that I was in the right spot, which i wasn't, is what made me thinking it was late - which it wasn't, I was merely an idiot).  Then, finally on the bus, I headed toward the beach!  Except I was not actually headed for the beach, but toward downtown and the transfer station.  So then of course I had to disembark the bus.  When the bus was ready to reboard, I laughed at the driver and told him jokingly I had got on in the wrong direction.  Sweethart that he was, he gave me a free ride!  When I sat myself I began staring out the window.  Only to notice at a stop that there were a dozen oldstyle tricycles and bikes.  Looking at the queue for those preparing to board I noticed that most of those getting to board were amish.  Yes, that's right, amish.  almost two dozen amish (and a few spring breakers) boarded the bus at a single stop.  Needless to say I was slightly surprised.  What was a little more shocking was those that had on a swimsuit - the two piece style with the tie behind the neck.  Okay, no biggie, wasn't sure how that would work out in the end.   Then, after a few miles I heard a girl talking loudly making plans for later in the evening, when I benignly looked back to identify the source it was an amish teen - on a cell phone?!?!?!?!  I mean, seriously????  What the hades?  After several people got on, and few got off the bus, I noticed we drew near to the beach.  We disembarked and I headed carefully through the throngs of people and cars and yelling toward a much sunnier beach.  I wandered at a powerwalk speed north along the shore, realized that and slowed down enough to grab a beer from my backpack and pop the top.  Then was powerwalking again.  I realized I am a quick walker regardless of where I am.  I noticed a few things though - the over tanned bodies of no longer hot people who haven't realized their hay-day was in the seventies, a dark cherub of a girl in a neon pink two piece ran out of the water, up into the dry sands, and arms waving, mouth screaming - I thought perhaps she had stepped on something but no...she was running straight at any bird that was on the ground, and some that were not, as fearlessly as an Spartan solider going into battle.  what a unique thing that was to witness!  Looking away from the darkened cherub I saw the shenanigans of the amish - skirts tucked up, edges wet, picking up shells and giggling like small children (the elders giggling like the children they weren't and the children acting oddly adult)  Through walking to a beach access I popped my flops on and walked to the used book store, grabbed a few romances and inquired as to a place to eat a decent breakfast - both in price and palate.  I was well rewarded with an omlet that melted in my mouth - tomatoe, basil and mozterella cheese.  I quietly ate my breakfast, drank my coffee, and read my book whilst sitting alone in the Villiage Cafe.  I successfully caught the bus home, relaxed in the hammock, read my book.  I will update more later, I am tired of typing - and I haven't told you about St. Pats evening yet!!!
I'll write more later
