[The Pokégear switches on to show Matt sitting on a bench outside in Cherrygrove. Next to him a Pidgeot is idly preening it's feathers, giving a beat of it's wings anytime the smoke from his cigarette starts to get too close for it's comfort.]
People appear and disappear in this place all the time, I guess we should be used to it by now. It's started to make me think though, so now I've got some questions for you Johto.
[The look on his face turns to one of amusement, but there's something else there behind it.]
Which would you prefer, staying here or being sent back home? Would you want to return home if you knew your fate was to die? Would you want a friend to return home if you knew they would be facing something that would be the end of them? What about your responsibilities? Here, we don't really have anything to worry about except what we want to do ourselves. We're completely unchained from anything that was holding us back at home. But at the same time, there's downsides to that as well.
I guess the real question here is, where does the line between selfish and selfless lie when it comes to things like this?
