Summary: While Jack and Loki reassure Billy, Colt and the rescue team arrive in Hong Kong and journey to Guangzhou.

“Son? Eat something,” Jack said, offering him a plate.  Billy smiled and accepted the plate from Jack.  He bit into his sandwich as he headed for the couch.  Loki brought him a coffee and sat next to him.  “Brilliant plan, Ninja.  Absolutely brilliant.  We’re going to pull this off,” Loki said.

Billy smiled, “Timing’s got to be perfect…”

“It will be,” Loki said, “Just keep those instincts of yours sharp.  I know Ender is.”  The three men sat silently eating for a few minutes.  Finally, Jack said, “Son…what you did at the farm…”  Billy shook his head, “Uncle Jack, for the twins, I’ll do what I have to do.”

Jack nodded, “I know, son.  Brad did the same for you once.  I’ve had to do the same thing for Queen and country.  I know Colt’s done the same thing for her country…and she’s probably facing doing worse for the twins.  It’s not going to be easy on either of you for a long time.”  “I know, Uncle Jack,” Billy said swallowing the last bite of his sandwich.  Jack put his hand on Billy’s shoulder, “We’re here for you, son.”  Billy smiled at Jack, “I know, Uncle Jack.  Thanks.”  Everyone relaxed and chatted, with a team member occasionally leaving to check the monitors.

Finally, Bluejay called out, “Ninja, they’ve radioed the tower at Guangzhou.  They’re beginning landing checks.”  Billy stood, “How far out are they?”  “About 1500 kilometers,” Bluejay answered.  Billy thought for a few moments.  “Let me know when they’re 800 kilometers out…they’ll be preparing for final approach at that point.”  Turning to the team, he said, “Dumbo, get ready.  On my mark, transmit on open frequency that the Asia team is to deploy to Guangzhou airport….that we’ve just received their new flight path.  Zeus, standby with private channels to Chin and Ari.  Dumbo, after you transmit to the Asia team, switch to private channels and get Colt and Dorset online.”

Zeus, who had already returned to his station, called out, “Ninja, Dorset online.”  Billy rushed to Zeus’ side and nodded, “Michael?”  “We’re on final approach to Haizhu.  Awaiting instructions,” Dorset responded.  Billy smiled, “Make it look like a friendly meet and greet.  Then, you guys take Colt and her team to Hong Kong and proceed with the plan.”  As the rest of the team settled into their positions, a grim silence fell over the group.  Bluejay’s voice broke the silence, “They’re entering the final approach pocket.”  Lore called out, “Guangzhou tower has given them clearance to start their final approach.”  Billy turned to Dumbo, “Asia teams deploy…now!”

“Chin and Ari online, Ninja,” Zeus said.  “Ari, Chin, the plane with the twins has been cleared for final approach.  Start moving the decoy teams now.  Chin, the ground team will be flying to Hong Kong soon.  Are your people ready?”  Billy asked.  “Yes, the agents are deployed along both exit routes.  One of our people will be waiting for them with a cab…number 542. We’ve got three good drop off points available…all Colt has to do is tell the driver which one she wants…all drop-off locations give them easy access to the compound and allow them to blend in with tourist traffic,” Chin responded.  Billy smiled, “Thank you, Chin.  Colt sends her thanks.”  “My pleasure…good luck!” Chin said, signing off.

“We’ve just deployed our teams, Billy.  And a few agents are positioned near the compound to provide support, if needed.  They know Colt and will watch the team’s backs until they’re on their way to Chin’s people,” Ari said.  Billy smiled, “Thanks, Ari.  Anticipating our needs, as usual.”  Ari chuckled, “Experience of an old agent, Billy.  Call us both when they’re safely on their way home.  We’ll remain on alert until they land in the UK,” Ari said, signing off.

Dumbo signaled, “Dorset online.”  “We’ve taken off from Haizhu and are on the way to Hong Kong,” Dorset said.  “Look for cab 542…that’s your ground transport.  Chin’s agent is driving…he’ll have three drop off points with good access to the compound and allowing you to use tourist traffic as cover,” Billy said.  “OK, honey,” Colt said, “We’re geared up and ready.”  “Ender, Ari has a few agents deployed around the compound to watch your backs until you take an exit route where Chin’s people are.  They know you, and I’m sure you know them.  If you have problems…” Billy said.  “Thanks, sweetheart.  We’ll keep an eye out.  Signing off now…we’ve got to get ready.  Love you,” Colt said.  “Love you, honey.  Be safe and see you soon,” Billy said.

Colt leaned back against the plane seat and looked at Cobra, Bear, Dorset, Malick, and Martinez, “He’s changed,” she said.  Dorset smiled, “How so?”  “He seems more…hardened…I guess,” she said.  Malick leaned back, “Yeah.  Frankly, we never saw this side of him at all…he was more of a charmer and prankster…wicked sense of humor.”  Colt smiled, “He was playing a role.  We agreed to that.”  “And all those women he was seeing?” Rick asked.  Colt smiled, “Me.  I guess we created a few dozen different identities for me to cover my visits.  He had a date with different women a couple of times, and he created some fictitious girls to maintain his cover as a player.”

“And the dozens of presents he got each Christmas?” Malick asked.  “The family, team, and I split everything up differently each year to maintain his cover,” Colt answered.  Martinez said, “So, that was all fake…you all the time?”  Colt grinned and nodded, “Yeah.”  Colt pulled out a wig, “To avoid having the Snake family recognize me, I’m wearing this when we land.  It’s one I wore on a few of my visits to Billy.”  Dorset smiled, “I remember that one…SynJyn.”  Colt smiled as she put on the wig and adjusted her makeup to look more like a computer saleswoman.  Adding glasses, she smiled, “Well?”  Malick grinned, “Perfect female computer geek.”

After a few moments of silence, Malick asked, “How do you think they got that intel on what the Snake family was up to?  Wi seemed to hold up pretty long with the Mossad interrogator.”  Colt’s facial expression changed, “That’s it!  Billy got that out of him.  Damn.”  Martinez said, “I never would have thought he was capable of that.”  Dorset said, “His children are involved…you do what you have to where your kids are concerned.”  Colt nodded, “And he’s capable of anything to protect them.”  Malick smiled, “And you.”  Colt smiled, “Yeah.  And guys, I appreciate you joining the team.  Makes our odds better.  But I’ve got to warn you…nothing is going to stop me from getting Ben and Mary out.  It’s going to get brutal…I’ll do whatever it takes.”

Dorset grinned, “Wouldn’t miss it for the world, Colt.  It’s good to be back in action…and get the use of Higgins’ private jet.  Champagne’s on ice and ready for when we get back.  We also slipped some aboard your jet.”  Colt smiled as the jet changed altitude in preparation for landing, “We’re ready.”  Dorset leaned back, “What’s the game plan to find the twins?  We won’t have much time once we get inside the compound.”  Colt smiled and held out a device, “All MI6 families are equipped with tracking devices.  They have several...in their backpacks, uniform lapels, dog tags.  I expect they’ll leave the backpacks in a fixed location in the house.  Whichever signals are moving are them.”

Malick said, “And if they discover the other tags?”  “The odds are good they’ll miss one.  We’ll have to figure out which ones are them when we get there,” Colt said.  Malick nodded, “We may have to split up…maybe we should divide ourselves now…just in case.”  Colt nodded, “Dorset and I are one team.  Cobra, you’re with Malick.  Bear, you with Martinez.”  Dorset nodded, “OK.  Let’s assume our personas.  Nothing but geek talk until we’re in the cab.”

After they cleared customs and headed outside, Colt immediately spotted the cab and recognized the agent posing as driver.  After they piled in, Colt greeted the agent in Mandarin, and he acknowledged her, handing her a map of routes to Guangzhou with various drop-off points.  While Bear and Martinez watched for tails or any observers, she and Dorset selected a drop off point and informed the driver.

When the driver reached the drop-off point in Guangzhou, Colt thanked him in Mandarin and slipped him some cash, saying, “For your family.  May your life be peaceful.  Thank you, and please tell Chin we are in his debt.”  The agent smiled, “We’ve done so little for you while you’ve done much for us.  Safe journeys.”  The team ducked in an alley and changed clothes.  Colt put on a cap and tucked her hair underneath.  They checked their weapons.  “Ready?” Colt asked.  The team nodded and blended in with the hordes of tourists.  Discretely, Colt checked her tracking device and leaned toward Dorset, “They’re at the compound.  Two sets of dots are immobile, one set moving.  They probably removed their jackets.”
