OH friday the thirteenth, i love you so!
on my way home this morning, i stopped at the rideau centre for coffee and cigarettes. while i was waiting for my bus at king edward, i noticed a guy arrive who had a big old smile on his face, dancing around to his music, bobbing his head, havin a jolly good go at it. it put a smile on my face, i could feel how full of joy he was. a contact buzz, if you will.
surely enough, when the bus came, he got on and sat by my seat. by the time we left blair station, he turned and handed me his headphones. he told me he had picked out a song he thought i would like, and offered to swap tunes for a moment. so we did just that, and had a nice talk about not being reclusive antisocial people who have developed a certain demeanor solely for our bus rides. that scowl people get as they find themselves feeling akward in a situation where they are by themselves, at the mercy of judgement by their fellow public transit riders.
