[Sexual Orientation] He swears up and down he's straight
[Eye Color] The remaining one is green; the other is just a mass of scar tissue under an eyepatch :'D
[Hair Color] bright freakin' red!
[Height] About 5'11"ish
[Other] Missing his right eye, over which he wears an eye patch. Has a big damn scar on his right hand (both sides); it's long and thin and looks like a knife cut? IDK.
[Clothing] Badou wears a lot of camo stuff, casual wear...it's not even worth a picture, really. XD
[Background] When Badou was young, times were tough. People often disappeared or wound up dead or crazy without a trace, and crime and gang violence ran rampant.
Badou’s older brother Dave was investigating a rash of serial disappearances at this time, and Badou tagged along, trying to help however he can. The two of them got too close to the truth, and a soldier attacked them, killing Dave and taking out Badou’s right eye through his right hand, leaving a long scar on both sides of his hand and leaving his eye as a mess of scar tissue. Badou followed in his brother’s footsteps, taking up smoking and freelance investigation/photojournalism, but decided to try to take precautions against his own death rather than live recklessly like his brother did.
At some point, he got paired up with Haine Rammsteiner, and the two stuck together for some odd reason and became eternal heterosexual life partners. They fight a lot, but somehow manage to make a pretty good pair. He became a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, picking up odd jobs (usually with a low payout due to all the screw-ups he does) and working part time at a grocery store for extra cash. He even helped Haine rescue Nill. ...And was swiftly forgotten about in all the chaos of the rescue.
Not too long after, he was commissioned by "Granny Liza" to look into the cases of child experimentation and to find who requisitioned the Carselino family, though all he found before getting into trouble yet again was that Giovanni (Haine’s "brother") was involved. He received a pair of tickets to an orchestra one day from someone who claimed to have a story for him, but classical music is not Badou’s cup of tea; he fell asleep during the concert and dreamed himself into Somarium.
[Personality] Badou is an extremely lazy and laid back kind of guy; he doesn’t like doing too much extra work and isn’t the type to take unnecessary risks, preferring to live life on the "thrifty" side and playing it safe. One might say his sense of self-preservation is a little on the high side, but he also tends to come off as unreliable; he’s constantly late, appears cowardly (one might call him a "reckless coward" or a "lucky idiot"), and complains frequently. The opposite is also true; he’s actually pretty intelligent and observant when he wants to be, and he values his friends, despite any sarcastic or rude comments he might make towards his allies.
Badou’s got himself an obvious "screw it all" attitude to match his slacker status and is a true whiner at heart. He feels no qualms about voicing his opinion about others, and, paired with his apparent natural talent for getting into sticky situations, he often gets into loads of trouble for it. Though he tries to maintain an air of having an even-keeled personality, he’s pretty excitable at his worst and lazy and whiny at his best. Surprisingly, though, Badou has a genuine serious side to him as well, and it occasionally manages to show through. But not very often.
In the end, one word can sum Badou’s personality up pretty darn well, and that word is "bipolar". As he is, in every sense of the term, a slave to nicotine (he would quite literally throw himself into the line of fire to get a cigarette I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP), being deprived from cigarettes for too long sends him into a crazed, often homicidal fit. If he is cut off from his addiction for too long a stretch of time, he starts to suffer from serious withdrawals. He becomes increasingly agitated and eventually snaps, dropping his cowardly demeanor for a very nearly psychotic and extremely violent one, and starts beating the daylights out of anything that’s standing in the way of him and his smokes. By which is meant everything in sight, since Haine or someone else usually makes sure to crush his carton before they enter the fray.
[Specialties/Abilities] Badou is human and has no super special awesome special abilities, beyond being surprisingly fast and having killer aim. Take away his cigarettes and give him a pair of MAC-10 submachine guns and he’s set up to cause roughly a metric ton of carnage. Otherwise...he runs away. The guy’s damn fast and has a lot of stamina, despite the whole ridiculous chain-smoking thing.
[Affection] ALL IS OKAY but he might get pissed off if he doesn't like you/find you attractive.
[Fighting] Fights are okay if you talk to me beforehand. He'll mostly just run away unless you deprive him of nicotine, in which case he'll try his damnedest to whoop your ass. HAVE FUN LOL.
