DancE!
After feeling very upset about the electon I got up early and went outside…put my drum cd in my car and played it loudly. I prayed, and then I danced jingle….the healing dance. Because I felt I needed healing as did my people…and all people…I felt a lot better. I can’t even begin to tell you….Then I went to class and danced…My cousin and his gf came and saw me…that made me so happy..and they said they are gonna start dancing to..but I am hella sore…I’m going to see my aunt this week and talk to her about making my Regalia for Fancy dance I want to help her though….
It was so funny because my cousins gf is a white girl..shes so cool though, but she said “My momma can make your regalia!” I laughed and hugged her and said thanks but no thanks that I would rather it be family made….etc..
I can’t even tell you how happy dancing makes me..showing the little kids how to do it etc…*shrugs*
I’m ready for the concert tonight..Charley Lowry (A lumbee girl who was on American Idol) and Rebecka Revels (Former Miss NC) and they are having dancing etc….
EDIT: I have absoultely no idea what colors I want my regalia..any random Ideas? I know the designs I want but I can't make up my mind on colors! *grr*
