After riding to Hornsby to get trounced in the JPS QF, i decided to go to Clovelly Beach to test out some of this diving gear i bought, and have a look around to see what i could see.

Sea urchins, some really quite big, but all tucked away in crevasses and away from the multitude of swimmers.
I saw:

  • maori & moon wrasse
  • bream
  • red morwong
  • luderick
  • whiting
  • toadfish
  • a very striking 2-3 foot blue grouper
  • 5 very cute baby stingrays
  • mado, sweep, old wives, stripey, blennies, and hulafish

and lots of other little fish that i can't name off the top of my head, but many that you'd see in a home aquarium.

including a purple and yellow fish that looks like either a Bicolour dottyback or a Royal dottyback except neither of those are supposed to be in NSW, so it's probably something else that i can't figure out. Curious....

beach, clovelly, underwater, fish
