The Root of All Evil

Got to go to The Heart of Darkness aka Jerryworld aka The NEW Cowboys Stadium, back in my old abode in Arlington. Was very surprised to find that our old late night fave The Pitt Grill, purveyors of "Fine Food" [that's what the sign says outside] was directly opposite the damn stadium. A lot of that area of Alrington has changed and game days there must be insane. Fortunately on that part of Collins st, there's a lot of car yards and places that have parking, so they can sell those for anywhere between thirty and fifty bucks apiece - which they did.

Took Jimmy McD with me because he's a die-hard fan, would have sent PhillyBoy if he had been here. It's a very impressive stadium. Got the tix from MsSwindler's Da, who got them for buying a truck.

The Eagles were just awful. Awful. Couldn't catch, couldn't break a tackle, couldn't hang onto the ball. Crazy stuff. Normally Eagles v Cowboys is my favourite game, because it's a contest and it's usually really funny. Perhaps i didn't have the right angle to appreciate the Eagles being funny. Might catch a replay to see how funny they really were.

The atmosphere at the Superdome at the Saints game was much more electric. Possibly because of the roll they were on at the time, although there were one hundred thousand people in the stadium to witness the Eagles shennanighans, and i recall the Superdome being much louder - mabe it's bigger i don't know.

Miller Lite has clearly thrown down a huge amount of money to ensure that there are NO BUDWEISER products available at the regular concession stands [perhaps in the VIP area that i did not go into] was a different story, but if you don't like Miller Lite and aren't from Texas so have had Shiner products before you might find the place a bit of a struggle for beer. Beer was fifty cents cheaper in New Orleans and i still resent having to pay eight bucks for beer i don't really like. Oh well.

Jimmy left happy because the the Eagles got shut out and he can spend the next week dumping on brother PhillyBoy.
