There are plenty of reports going around about the voting machines they are using here for the upcoming Congressional elections. And these stories are all "I pressed the democrat button and the republican candidates picture came up." There's not one story that i have seen that has gone the other way.

I mean really. WTF? Subtlety, anyone? My favourite so far is this one where a yellow button on the back allows you to record another vote. When will it get to the point when enough people will say "this is not good enough!"

Space: the Final Frontier and of course the Americans are leading the charge into it and of course they are taking their guns. Not because E.T. is packing heat, but to cooperate with other nations in the peaceful use of outer space” and “is committed to the exploration and use of outer space by all nations for peaceful purposes, and for the benefit of all humanity.”
...“peaceful purposes” is clarified to include “U.S. defense and intelligence related activities in pursuit of national interests.”

And finally something i got from flemco about an Armed Services suicide that has not really been talked about. The FOIA always seems to come too late, people forget after a couple of weeks and the truths revealed are not enough to spur them into any sort of action. It's old news, and is thusly ignored by the mainsteam because Jerry Springer got elimnated from "Dancing With the Stars". (Bill Hicks used to make "American Gladiator" jokes... if only he had lived to see this load of bollocks.)
flemco labels her an American Hero. I don't quite understand why. Dead men (and women) tell no tales. Death isn't heroic. Living is.
