An old game i know, but tell me your Desert Island Discs, and why. You get five. GO!
... Nothing but a Dream - Paul Kelly.
Captured me, haunted me. Seemed to fit into my life perfectly at the time. Adores.
String Of Pearls - Deborah Conway.
A more appropriately named collection of songs i have yet to find. A debut solo album, and filled with good humour, beautiful sorrows, confusion and passion - all the good things in life.
Forever Blue - Chris Isaak
I would be lonely on the island, and this covers what i'd miss most.
Trophy Night - Weddings Parties, Anything.
The only best of i could take anywhere. Just captures a time for me even though i wasn;t a huge fan back then. Something for every occassion and to drag me out of the funk i am in from the previous CDs.
The last choice is now a tough one with those four leaping to the front. Would i bore of Tom Waits "The Heart of Saturday Night", could i be stuck anywhere without my Poltz fix? And what about S Club, B*Witched, and Whiggy, no girl pop? No i have to over look them all including those that i love, to go back to the guys who were gods. I'd take their last album "Skin & Bone", because it reminds me of Australia. Thank you to "The Angels".
(this was brought to you by a sudden desire to find out WHO HAS MY COPY OF ...NOTHING BUT A DREAM. Am considering going shopping tomorrow with the express purpose of finding it. GODDAMMIT
