Hello, new friends!
I would like to welcome my new friends from womenlovefest! I didn't expect to get any from spreading some hated females love, but it's good to have you! Some of you might end up with a wacky tag of your own, if you're lucky.
BUT. I guess I need to get this out in the open first.
THIS IS A DRAMA-FREE ZONE. I will not tolerate bashing of any kind here, not about fandom and not about real life (politics, religion, etc.) , which are totally separate. Don't assume what anyone likes in their fiction translates in any way to reality or vice versa. Assume only that there may be someone on the other side of the fence who may be reading (because given my wide range of friends, they probably are) and treat them with respect. We're all human here.
There's a difference between sharing your negative/opposing opinion and bashing. Let me show you.
Not Okay: The Clana ship sunk ages ago. Clark's moved on, he loves Lois now. Time to be a big girl and get over it.
Okay: I'm definitely not a Clana shipper. I never understood why he was so fascinated by her, but they insisted on dragging it out forever. I think Lois is much better suited for him and I'm glad I got to see him move on and be with her instead.
Of course, I'd prefer there be no negative Lana/Clana talk because I am so sick of seeing it, but as long as we can talk to each other like mature human beings and you refrain from belittling me and my dearest internet friends, I won't shoo you away.
That's just a Smallville related example. It applies to all other fandoms and to all characters and ships, as well as theories, interpretations and head canon. ALL. Do what you want with your journal, but we will respect each other as long as we're in mine.
Never underestimate the power of a good "I" statement.
