Well, 2009 is gone (yay)! I survived swine flu, I love apartment life, Tony is progressively flushing his life down the toilet (don't ask), I am a WWE fan, and I utterly despise daylight savings time.
The movie season for 2010 looks good so far. A lot of things I have been waiting for will be coming out as well as a few gems I just discovered. It's going to be tight going to see these since Chris and I will be taking over the apartment and all expenses (unconfirmed) but we'll try to make as many as possible.
The Wolf Man (2/12) - A remake of the 1941 Universal horror classic starring Lon Chaney Jr, Benicio Del Toro takes over with great results. Dad wants to see this one so it'll be a good bonding time.
Shutter Island (2/19) - Martin Scorsese and Leo DiCaprio strike again; it looks like something out of a Call of Cthulhu campaign
Alice in Wonderland (3/5) - Tim Burton. Danny Elfman. Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Hello? ^_^
Season of the Witch (3/19) - Very promising, hopefully the witch will be played as legitimately evil
I Love You Philip Morris (3/26) - From the writers of Bad Santa and if you've seen that, you'll know that this will be one film that will be quoted for ages
A Nightmare on Elm Street (4/30) - A re-telling with Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach from Watchmen) as Freddy Krueger. The imagery alone from the trailer makes it a must
Iron Man 2 (5/7) - Considering the first was a hit and being a Marvel/Robert Downey Jr fan, why not?
Robin Hood (5/14) - I love Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott is directing. Gold!
Shrek Forever After (5/21) - Hopefully it will be FAR more entertaining than Shrek The Third. They were just rushing that one.
Toy Story 3 (6/18) - Hell yes! The trailer looks very good and considering Pixar's record, I should pre-order my tickets but 3-D or IMAX?
Inception (7/16) - Christopher Nolan is famous for making the films that make you think. He also did the two recent Batman films.
Meet The Fockers Sequel (7/30) - The official name is not listed yet but I'm really hoping for this one.
Jackass 3-D (10/15) - Yes! Yes! Yes! It has been confirmed on the production company's website. It's unclear if it truly will be in 3-D but oh well. As a long time fan of the show, I am SO going.
Be sure to check out the trailers on YouTube. If we can make any of these a group activity, let me know.
