Moving is going slowly but steadily. Mom almost has her room moved out and I have to start my filtering process tomorrow. What I keep, what I ditch, and what I send with Mom to Mel's.
Chris and I had a freaking blast on Saturday night. Adam and his parents are cast members in a local cabaret show called Romantasy Cabaret whose third season just started. Now that I'm 21, I was finally able to attend and now I see what all the fuss is about. The show had that great blend of funny and titillating. My favorite number was this "silent movie" they all three performed with this other girl. Adam's mother and the other girl played a mother and daughter while Adam's father played this Dick Dastardly lookalike landlord. Adam was the slide boy; he put up the story slides as the moments came up.
Here's the plot: The rent is due and poor Janice cannot pay. Landlord Tom wants his money by any means necessary. Enter the beautiful, virginal daughter; enter the drama. Landlord Tom "will take the girl, tie her up with rope, and spank her soundly." (Tom smacked his own butt a few times at that last one, I was dying.) Janice finally breaks down and forfeits her life savings to keep her child. Landlord Tom grudgingly takes the money and leaves. The mother "has saved her daughter from a life of sin....damn it!"
The show was an overall success. I hear they're holding shows once a month so hopefully the July show will take place after the 23rd, huh? Besides, you haven't lived until you've seen Adam in pasties, garter belts, and a bustier. I was laughing my tits off while Chris was dry heaving on the table.
