Her first real job, kind of, and she was determined to make it work. I mean sure she had gotten it through nepotism, and sure it didn't pay her a wage per say but still it was a job and one she couldn't fuck up to badly at that. Polishing the bar with her clean white towel Sally smiled and looked out over Reliquary, she was a bartender at a bar and Gypsy even trusted her to lock up at night how awesome was that?
Glancing at the clock she counted down the seconds until Brigade and his normal crew arrived. Whether or not they were teachers or hit men she couldn't say yet but they came once a week like clockwork to have their drinks and watch sports on the bar's TV. It was nice to see Brigade when he wasn't being emotionally swayed by his cabal or under the influence of one of his derangements, she didn't even mind the frequent slaps on her ass, they were comfortable, like nothing had ever changed between them and she had never been engaged to some guy named Dodger who had tried to sleep with Zohar. The guys he was with treated her like his girl, which she wasn't, but it kept their hands out of the way. When they came into the bar by themselves they always left her a good tip which she made sure to put in a seperate jar for Gypsy to do with as she pleased.
Life almost seemed normal, as normal as it had ever really been. There was routine here, and people to worry for you and sober you up if you came home drunk.
It was nice.
