This is definitely the first time I’ve been awake and coherent enough to even attempt writing a prom reflection entry. I had such a blast… thanks to everyone in my group for making it a spectacular evening. The whole night was amazing, including pre-pre-prom stuff, like getting ready, which I found to be really fun. Getting my hair done was so much fun because I’d never had it done previously for any other dance I’ve been to. The girl at Regis did a really good job, in my opinion. I was very happy.
Then there was the pre-prom stuff, which kicked off with Cullen picking me up at my house at 5. I was bustling about, doing last minute stuff as should be expected of me… I think I realized I didn’t have a purse at about 4:58 and found one in my sister’s room at 4:59… heh, it worked surprisingly well for being so last minute.
Then I nearly fell trying to get into Cullen’s monstrosity of a vehicle (heh)… so smooth of me. Heh, but he was really nice about it. As he was the whole evening. I don’t know if I’ve thanked you yet Cullen, but you really showed me an amazing evening. :D Prom was a blast because of you.
Anyway, then we went to Mike’s for the parent picture taking pre-prom bash. I think all of our eyes were damaged afterward from the multitude of flashes. Heh. But yeah, Mike’s mom and sisters did an amazing job of cooking and preparing for everyone to come over. I give them total props for that.
And then into the “10 person” limo… saying it was made for 10 people is kinda a stretch in my opinion, because it definitely doesn’t comfortably fit 10 people, but we all got cozy and it was a good time regardless. Since this entry is already getting exhaustive, I’ll sum up the rest of the night: Dinner was fucking amazing. So amazing, in fact, that we all ate an excessive amount of food. But it didn’t really matter cuz my god, the food was good.
The dance was awesome as well. It’s so much fun to see everyone all dolled up and looking amazing. And I’ll have to say, everyone really did look fabulous. :) I had a great time dancing after I let my food settle a little bit. Heh. But yeah, the DJ was alright, and dancing was definitely an awesome time. (Minus that the last dance sucked fatty balls, but we all knew that already.)
Afterward, we went to Starbucks in Lake City and maneuvered through the drive-thru, during which time we found out that it was Salim’s (our driver’s) birthday, so we bought him a piece of cake at Starbucks and dang Happy Birthday to him, and then to him over the phone to his wife in India. We love you Salim!
Anyway, then we went back to Mike’s, which involved more food and some quality games of Thirteen and then Catchphrase, which were hilarious. We headed off to Adam’s around 5… it was getting light outside and by the time Cullen and I walked from his house to Adam’s, it was definitely morning.
We fell asleep around 7, after laughing our asses off for no particular reason (except that naming the entire hypothetical cast of Stare Wars: Revenge of the Stiff was the best time of my life…heh). We were then woken up around 9 or 10 for breakfast with the rest of Ali and Nina and Rachel’s group.
ALRIGHT… I’m done now.
Prom was awesome! Yay. Thanks again to everyone. <333
