So I just completed DmC: Devil May Cry for the first time. Again, despite it being quite different from DMC4 which I also quite enjoyed I thought it was awesome. The gameplay was so smooth and it had great moves it was unbelievable.. so where the graphics in quite a few spots. Ninja Theory did a great job of replicating the gameplay of previous DMC games in the Unreal Engine while at the same time changing things up in positive ways.
I really liked the music and I think there was more variety of songs during the fights than in DMC4. In that game there was practically only two songs that ever played during fights.. one for each character.
I was a tad concerned that it wouldn't run well via Wine on my iMac like DMC4 did but it turns out those worries where unwarrented as it ran fantastic at ultra settings. This is on a late 2012 iMac with 3.5GHz Core i7 and GTX680MX 2GB video card and 16GB RAM.
I still think Capcom could do well making a direct sequel or folllowup to DMC4 though. I know DmC wasn't to some people's tastes I mean. As far as the art goes it was a lot more western in tone.
Although I did like seeing Dante get one of his signature things in the end.
So yeah, personally, I'd take both a sequel to DmC and one to DMC4 because I'm greedy like that.
