Something that I have thought of tonight. Not too long ago there was a thread on inside mac games about what people thought of people choosing avatars that aren't the same gender as they are in real life in a game. I said as long as they are not trying to attract a mate especially to lead to a real life relationshipthis way it is fine to pick whatever they want. I have always just gone to games (like Unreal Tournament) to play the game.... not to go ah.. hey baby...
So it shouldn't matter what gender the character that I pick is it could be an androgynous creature from la la land. Before I quit going to visual chat I decided to wear whatever I want as long as it looks good to me because anyway I wasn't trying to pick up anyone. But a thing that kind of bugged me is the programmer of The Manor accused me of being schizophrenic. Tonight I was thinking of this and thought, thanks for the armchair diagnosis Dr. Faux! Where did you earn your psychology degree.. a box of Cracker Jack? ;p
This guy always wore a white tiger avatar when he was in chat so one could easily say that he is schizophrenic too and his problem is he has species confusion (as opposed to gender confusion). I was just thinking what if in games and chats you where restricted to what you where in real life? There would be no orcs, elves, aliens, etc. in any online game!
