Brazil

I watched a movie last night that was pretty trippy & fascinating to watch. It's called "Brazil" and it is available on Starz on demand. It sort of reminds me of something stanley kubrick might make except it's by Terry Gilliam. He directed The Fisher King, 12 Monkeys, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and of course he was a part of Monty Python.

The ending did kind of throw me for a loop in a kubricesque bleak ending kind of way but it was worth watching because the whole thing has a fascinating story behind it. Some things like inept repairmen and plastic surgery will make you laugh as it practically is true.

Afterwards I looked up info on the movie to get all the meaning they had in it because it is pretty deep. I actually had watched it before but I needed to see it again to remember all that happens in it especially since it was so long ago that I probably was too young to even begin to understand it.

Oh yeah, it has also been considered to call it 1984 and a 1/2 because it is very similar to Nineteen Eighty-Four according to some people so I need to see that movie sometime.

sci-fi, movies, brazil
