Friday night I hung out in the complex. We had the great idea to help Laura pack and drink beer. She left for Orlando on Saturday. Lame. The ranks of cool people in the complex are beginning to dwindle. To make things worse, I talked to a friend of her's all night Friday and then forgot to get her number.

My sister graduated from high school Saturday morning. I was not very impressed with the valedictorian's speech, but the saludatorian's speech was downright awful. She quoted Dave Matthews, brought up September 11th, made the played out Al Gore internet joke, and generally sounded like a young Republican. And to make things worse, she couldn't structure a sentence to save her soul; she said things like "sports has been very important to our class" and scattered other random tense and agreement errors throughout the speech. Seriously, how the fuck did someone like that become saludatorian? I was grimacing the entire time.

Anyway, I got home, hung out with Laura before she left, and then got drunk with Munchkin. I threw my sister a graduation party but it was pretty lame; only one of her friends was motivated enough to drive to Buckhead.

I found out that a friend of mine is big into Ayn Rand, thus making him not nearly as cool as I had thought. He actually called himself an objectivist. Yech. That's an argument waiting to happen.

I'm trying to get a job at a summer art camp for little kids. I think I'm going to get it, but I'm not sure; Elisa, Jessica, and Jessica all work there and they all recommended me to the directors. Elisa actually called to tell me about it after she had recommended me to the directors, so that's good. Teaching kids to draw all summer would be the raddest job of all time.
